The Society Officials and Committee
Members are elected annually at the Society’s Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The current 2025/2026 season committee is as follows:

Ian opened the meeting and welcomed the 12 members present Apologies from, Peter M., Neil&Vesta P, Alan M, and Paul W., The minutes from 2024 were approved.
Ian reported - he thanked Chris for the Accounts and Bernard for the programme. He congratulated everyone Involved in the Paul Gaywood lecture, hosted by COPPS in May, in particular Peter M. for his excellent display and presentation.
Chris had circulated the Accounts earlier and made the following notes - We have £15.36 profit this year and currently hold £1241.66 In reserves. Chris had organised the transfer of our accounts to Virgin Money to save on bank fees. (nib. this action had been approved by the members)
The accounts were formally accepted. Elizabeth B. was approved as auditor.
Bernard presented the Secretary's report, including details of events over the year. Special mention of Geoff for the competition programme, a popular and much appreciated part of our programme.
Election of Officers, Ian offered his resignation as Chairman, we were unable to appoint another candidate at present and Ian would continue to hold the post until a new chair is elected.
All other members with specific roles agreed to continue. (no objections)

Bernard suggested that if members were invited to present displays etc. to other societies it would be good to share the news.
It was suggested that we have a COPPS Auction in the programme. Mike would organise, but felt it would be helpful to have a register of members interests. Bernard and Mike would work on it!
Chris suggested an item for the programme - "Albums: show and tell"
Ian noted the details of the Fair in September and explained that a Members Sales table was available.
We discussed the venue for COPPS, Bernard would make enquiries at OLSE In Fulwood Geoff presented the trophies for 2024. All winners were congratulated.
At 8.11 p.m. we adjourned for Pizza and Cake generously provided by Chris and Liz, Thanks to them both,
